Suddendly. Widely known as Arthur Snook. Born December 8, 1884, Mr. Snook was a son the son of the later Robert S. Snook and Mrs. Ida J. WRAY Snook, Belltown. He was 57 years, 14 days old. Mr. Snook's wife, the former Roselle KRICKBAUM, died seven years ago. Surviving are a foster son, Earl A. Snook, Michigan, and two brothers and sisters: John W. Snook, Belltown; Wray R. Snook, Hamilton Terrace; Ruth Snook, Belltown and Mrs Gus (Selma) Fagras, Buchanan, Michigan.
Mr. Snook was a carpenter by occupation. While he and his brother, John, were sawing the truck of a fallen tree on Friday afternoon, the stump became detached and rolled on a hillside upon him, crushing upper parts of his body. Mr. Snook died early Monday morning in Lewistown Hospital from the injuries sustained in the accident.
Funeral Services held Wednesday, December 24, 1941 at the Barcus Funeral Home. Sevices were conducted by D. B. Allsion of Altoona, one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Pallbearers were: William Holt, Stanley Young, Harold Watts, Llyod Hummel, James Wray and Larson O'Brien. Out of county relatives and friends attending were: Mr. and Mrs. David B. Allison and Mrs. Albert Miller Altoona; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Wray, Baltimore, Md., Miss Grace L. Dodge, Carlisle; Mrs. Blanche Wetzel, Mrs. Russell Miller, Mrs. Dewey and Mrs. Domar Ishler, all of Bellefonte; Mrs. Harry Miller and Mrs. Edward Wierick, Paxtonville; Mrs. Grace Gill and daughter, Mrs. Jesse Yetter, John Romig and Mrs. Erma Romig, Beavertownl Mr. and Mrs. John Bilger, Mr.and Mrs. Walter Kamp, Robert Wert and William Koch, McClure.
