Vera Minnie Taylor Anderson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep, with her family at her bedside on May 5, 2009. She was 96-years-old. She resided at 4765 South Reynolds Court in Holladay, Utah at the time of her death.
Vera was born March 21, 1913 in Salt Lake City to Thomas Taylor and Ello Minnie Kofoed.
She married her sweetheart Neldon (Mel) Anderson on March 30, 1932 in Salt Lake City. Vera loved nothing more than being with her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed.
She loved to travel, play bridge, golf, and bowl. Vera enjoyed crocheting blankets and clothes for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Vera worked for the Salt Lake County Treasurer for over 25 years. She enjoyed the people and the work. Vera had many friends and close relationships in her life. Lynn Searle and Jeff Lenci were very special to her.
Vera is survived by her children, Lynn (Raedda), Gary (Jan), Sandra (Sanford), Kent (Kathryn), 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and three brothers.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), East Millcreek, Utah. Friends and family may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park following the Funeral Services.
