From Descendants of Abraham Tegarden: "About 1846 the family moved from Pennsylvania to Greenup County, Kentucky where they lived about eight years, moving on to Marshall County, Illinois in 1853 and finally to Dade County, Missouri where they are found in the 1870 census and where John died of pneumonia. Minerva then lived with their son John and later with daughter Harriet Matilda in Boulder, Colorado where she died."

Mrs Minerva Teagarden Dead
Mrs Minerva Teagarden, aged 78 [sic], died at the home* of her daughter, Mrs Hattie Woods [sic] in Boulder, Col., Sunday. Mrs Teagarden formerly lived in Goodland and was the mother of J.A. and Ezra Teagarden of Boulder, and George Teagarden of Denver, all of whom formerly lived in Goodland. Besides Mrs Woods [sic] she leaves three other daughters, Mrs Russell and Mrs Cox, of Missouri, and Mrs Bonham of Red Oak, Ia. The funeral was held Tuesday at Boulder and the burial was at that place.
