Born May 8, 1911, in Milroy (Havice Valley), she was a daughter of the late Herbert C. and Amanda C. (Romig) Wagner. Her husband, Vernon L. Shank, preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 1985.
Surviving are: children, R. Brown Shank and wife, Betty, of Lewistown, H. Louis Shank and wife, Cecelie, of Woonsocket, R.I., Mrs. Jack (Nancy) Coffey, of Lewistown, Janet C. Shank, of Milroy; sister and brother, Rachel Sauers and husband, Joseph, of Levittown, Benjamin Wagner and wife, Minnie, of Locust Run; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Also surviving: nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 12 great -great -grandchildren; and one great - great - great- grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Blaine L. "Tiny" Shank; a granddaughter; sisters, Ada Bashore; Miriam Henry; Esther Ferrell; brothers, John E. Wagner; Paul Wagner; infant brothers, George Wagner and James Wagner.
She had worked at Graci's Dress Factory, Alert Shoe Factory and in housekeeping at Lewistown Hospital, Lewistown, PA.
She was a member of Siglerville Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for more than 50 years.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Siglerville, with the Rev. Kenneth Longfield and the Rev. Mike Sigler officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy, PA.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, PA.
