Frank married Marie Uhlrich in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. Daughter of Andrew Uhlrich and Magdalen Fruhauff, she was born in Illinois.
The Waterloo Evening Courier of Jan. 8, 1912, page one, contains an article about a train accident in which Frank was one of several injured. One man was killed in that accident.
Note the surname has many spelling variations, including Harbeck/Horback.

The body of Frank Harback, Illinois Central conductor, accompanied by several relatives, arrived early today from Chicago, where death occurred at the I.C. hospital Tuesday at 9 p.m. He had been in ill health for some time and underwent an operation last week.
Mr. Harback was born at Kalo, Ia. 33 years ago. He entered the employ of the Illinois Central railroad when a young man and for a number of years had been a conductor, running out of Waterloo east. He came to this city about 10 years ago, establishing his home at 319 Newell street.
Surviving, besides the widow, are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Harback, Fort Dodge, Ia.; two children Herbert and Helene, at home, and two brothers Charles, Chicago, and William, Antigo, Wis.
Pending arrangements for the funeral, the body will remain at the O'Keefe & Towne mortuary home.
