Mrs. Benjamin Thompson Dies Following Operation Mrs Benjamin I Thompson, 66, Route 3, died yesterday afternoon at 3:15 O'clock at the Atcheison hospital following an operation. Stanton and Stanton mortuary is in charge of funeral arangements. The body will be in state at the mortuary until the funeral, which will be at 2:30 O'clock Saturday afternoon from the Stanton Chapel. The Rev. Warner, pastor of the Methodist church, of whick Mrs. Thompson was a life-long member, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Round Mound cemetery. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman (Johana Schwope) Christel of Wathena, Ida Christel Thompson was born there March 19, 1879. She was reared in the county of Doniphan (Wathena) but had been a resident of Atchison County for 28 years. Prior to her marriage to Benjamin I Thompson, June 6, 1935, she resided wither her sister, Mrs. Minnie Burrow, 806 Spruce, for nine years. Since her marriage she has resided with her husband on a farm nine miles southwest of Atchison. Besides her husband, she is survived by a brother Edwin O. Christel, Winner, S. D. and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Burrow and Mrs. F. J. (Clara) Dreyer, Topeka. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Royal Neighbors lodge.
