OBITUARY OF THOMAS J. McQUEEN
Thomas J. McQueen was born near Columbus, Indiana, March 14, 1832. Died April 7, 1922 at the Home of his oldest daughter Laura Jones near Oakland, where he had made his home for several years. Age 90 Years and 24 days.
He was united in marriage to Phoebe Bales, in Indiana March 4, 1857, who passed away ten years age. To this union were born nine children of which three have passed to the Great Beyond. Those living are Laura Jones of Oakland, Illinois, India Leckner of Texas, Lottie Wierman of Atwood, Illinois, Emma Jones of Atwood, Illinois, Spencer McQueen of Tuscola, Illinois, and Alzina Kendall of Murdock, Illinois.
He had 37 grandchildren and 70 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
He came to this country 53 years ago. He joined the Christian Church at Atwood several years ago and lived a faithful Christian life until the time of his death.
He leaves to mourn his death besides his children, three brothers and one sister living besides a host of neighbors and friends.
