Burial No-345. Grace Buell died at Portsmouth Military Hospital, UK. She was 23 years old. She was buried on 11 October 1918. Burial Plot-E194. Her remains were exhumed on 16 April 1920 by order of the Home Office. The Home Office worked in conjunction with the US families who decided if their loved one would stay in the UK or would be repatriated to the US.

Enlisted as a Red Cross Nurse May 15, 1918, Fort Wayne. Sent to Camp Grant, Ill.

While enroute overseas in September, 1918, stricken with pneumonia, and died October 8, 1918, in Base Hospital No. 33, Portsmouth, England. Buried Winchester, England. In May, 1920, body was brought to U.S., and interred in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Roanoke, Ind.
