Enlisted as a Red Cross Nurse May 15, 1918, Fort Wayne. Sent to Camp Grant, Ill.
While enroute overseas in September, 1918, stricken with pneumonia, and died October 8, 1918, in Base Hospital No. 33, Portsmouth, England. Buried Winchester, England. In May, 1920, body was brought to U.S., and interred in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Roanoke, Ind.
