Funeral for Vernon Bradford, 77, of Moulton will be Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Crumpton officiating.

Burial will be in Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Bradford died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born July 6, 1926, in Moulton to Newt Bradford and Emma Lola Vandiver Bradford. He was assistant chief of police for the City of Arab, a chief deputy in Falkville, a deputy sheriff in Guntersville and deputy for the Lawrence County Sheriff Department. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran.

Survivors include his special friend, Lillian Borden of Moulton; one son, Jeff Bradford of Somerville; and one daughter-in-law, Aundrea Bradford of Somerville.

Pallbearers will be Larry Bradford, Terry Scott, Mark Terry, Bobby Miller, Kevin Miller and Wayne Richards.
