Carrie was the first child of Albert G Adams, 1836-???? and Mary Jane Elizabeth Sanford 1836-1920, who lived her final years living with Carrie in Runnels County, Texas. Their memorials have not yet been located.

Mary Jane Elizabeth Sanford's younger brother was Felix Pollard "Phillip" Sanford, 1841-1921, who married Mary Catherine Lockett, 1848-1914, who had seven children together. Mary Catherine Lockett 's father was Hugh Reese Lockett, Sr., 1802-1858. Abner Brazell Lockett, father was John Lusfy Lockett, 1827-1890, also the son of Hugh Reese Lockett, Sr., 1802-1890.

Caroline married Abner Brazell Lockett on December 23, 1875 in Tallapoosa County Alabama. They had four daughters and one son.

Before 1887 they moved from Alabama to Bell County Texas, then before 1910 to Runnels County Texas where they lived until the early 1920s.

In 1925 they were living with their daughter Ella Vonseal Lockett Fahey 1887-1961 in Kansas. They died in Coffeyville, Montgomery, Kansas and were buried in Runnels County Texas.
