Harry D. Chappel, 74, RFD 2, Plevna, died at 5:25 a.m. Monday at his home, after 12 years illness.
He was bom July 14, 1885, at Valley Center, had lived in the Plevna community all his life. He was a retired farmer and a member of the. Methodist Church.
Survivors are the widow, Florence; two daughters, Mrs. George Pyle, Plains, Mrs. Jack Battin, 9 North Plum; one step-son, Gerald Homes, Newton; one sister, Mrs. Grace Hartman, Denver, Colo.; three brothers, Clifton, 6 West 16th, Harold, 1000 Rowland, Art, Phoenix, Ariz, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
