FRANKFORT INDEX - MARCH 5, 1959

Frank Walter Heath, son of George and Almeda Heath was born at Seneca, Kansas, on October 10, 1873 and passed away at his home southwest of Vermillion on February 18, 1959, at the age of 85 years, 4 months and 8 days.

On July 23, 1897, he was united in marriage to Anna McCauly. To this union were born five girls and six boys.

One daughter Maebelle Hope preceded him in death.

Mr. Heath brought his family to Vermillion, 46 years ago and has lived on the same farm since. He spent most of his life in Kansas and was known by many of his friends as Pop Heath. He looked forward to having his children come home to visit them.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife and Irene Cobb, Mitchell, South Dakota, Charley Heath of Kimball, South Dakota, George Heath of Westmoreland, Ben Heath, Kimball, South Dakota, Eugene Heath of Topeka, Elizabeth White of Blue Rapids, Algern Heath, Summerfield, Laurel Heath of the home, Maxine Anderson, Waterville and Anna Manges, Westmoreland; also 37 grandchildren, 30 great granchildren, one brother, three sisters and many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends who regret to learn of his passing.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, February 20, 1959, at the Methodist Church in Vermillion with Rev. Walter White officiating.

Mrs. Marjorie Johnson and Mrs. Mildred Schrair sang two hymns, "In The Garden" and "Beyond The Sunset." They were accompanied by Mrs. Blanche Woodward.

The pallbears were, Junior White, Floyd Manges, Jimmy Anderson, Bob Boyd, Bill Moriarty and Mark Rinehart.

Burial was in Vermillion cemetery. Smiths Funeral Home had charge of the services.
