Alice M. Gatin of Bedford, IN, died Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at Hospitality House Nursing Center. Born on July 18, 1923, in Clinton, IN, she was the daughter of Dewey Joseph and Lucy Gertrude (Hollingsworth) Anderson.

Surviving are one daughter Gerri Basinger and husband, Louis, of Bedford, IN; two grandsons and their wives, Michael and Teresa Basinger and Mario and Susan Basinger, all of Bedford, IN; one granddaughter, Angela Basinger of Bedford, IN; companion, Russell Bevers of Bedford, IN; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Herschel "Bud" Anderson, Homer "Joe" Anderson, and David Cormican; and four former husbands: Vernard Crockett, Walter Pounds, Vernon Botner, and John Gatin.

She was a retired nurses aide in Lawrence, Jackson, and Vigo Counties and was of Baptist faith.

Services for Alice Gatin will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6th, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
