Best Indianapolis 500 finish, 2nd 1961. Killed in a firey crash on the 2nd lap of the 1964 Indianapolis 500, which also claimed the life of Dave MacDonald and injured Ronnie Duman and future 3 time 500 winners Johnny Rutherford and Bobby Unser.
