Annie was born to Annie Simpson in 1871. Little is known about her father. Annie Edith Duff married Andrew C. Arzberger April 24 1893 in Pittsburgh. They experienced some family resistence in what was considered at that time a mixed marriage with Andrew being the son of German immigrants and Annie being the daughter of Irish immigrants. They had 3 sons and 3 daughters. One of their children, Helen May Arzberger was my grandmother. Annie died at the age of 55 years, 11 months, 14 days, in Pittsburgh from an illness that spanned from March 15 1927 to March 24, 1927 when she died. There are stories in the family suggesting that Annie experienced a lot of illness during her marriage. She was beloved by her husband Andrew and her children and remembered forever.
