Will was born in Throckmorthon County, Texas to John Larn
and Mary Jane Matthews.
In 1880 Will's stepfather changed his name to Willie Brown.
In 1898 Willie Brown changed his name back to William Alexander Larn.
Will enlisted in the Arizonia Rangers to work undercover, but decided this was not for him and quit after three months.
Then he worked as a cowboy for the Reynold's brothers' ranch in Culberson and Jeff Davis Counties, Texas.
He developed locomotor ataxis at an early age and was wheel chair bound.
He never married and died in Douglas, Arizona,at the age of 64, 10 years before his mom died in California.
He is buried in the same cemetery as his mother.
