Jack D. Baumli, age 72, of Edwards, MO, passed away Wednesday morning, May 6, 2009, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO. He was born on July 14, 1936, In Maryville, MO, the son of John and Elizabeth (Schwebach) Baumli.

Jack entered the United States Army in 1953 and served during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged on April 3, 1957. He married Leona Aconto and unto this union, two children were born, Elizabeth Rose, who died in infancy and Jackie Baumli, Jr.

Jack was an electrician and worked in the Kansas City area for many years. He was a member of the IBEW Local # 124 of Kansas City, MO.

He was united in marriage to Patsy Higgins and unto this union, three children were born, Gary, Scott and Kelly.

Later he married Peggy Ross and unto this union, one son, James, was born. Peggy preceded him in death on February 18, 1993.

Jack was a member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was, also, a member of American Legion Post #217 of Warsaw serving on the Post Military Honor Guard for many years. He enjoyed fishing and boating on the Lake of the Ozarks near his home in Edwards, MO.

He is survived by four sons, Jackie Baumli, Jr., of Lake Ozarks, MO, Gary Baumli of the home, Scott Baumli of Troy, MO and James Baumli of the home, one daughter, Kelly Blundell of Gallatin, MO, 12 grandchildren and one on the way, and a great-granddaughter, several brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Jack Baumli will be Friday, May 8, 2009, at 10:00 A.M., at the St. Ann's Catholic Church with Fr. Keith Branson officiating. Burial and Military honors will be at Mossy Cemetery near Edwards, MO. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 7:30 P.M., Thursday evening with Rosary being said at 7:30 P.M. at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.
