She was a retired educator for Hickory Flat Attendence Center. She enjoyed reading...a lot, travelling and listening to Gospel music. She was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for many years.
Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 13, from 10 a.m until noon at Flat Rock Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at noon with Bro. Randy Buse officiating. Burial will be in Flat Rock Cemetery. United Funeral Service of New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, William W. Perkins, and one son, William D. Perkins, both of Hickory Flat; two nieces and caregivers, Mary Harrington and Tanya Thompson; a special friend, Rachel Vanzant; and a host of family and friends.
