BIRTH: About 1612 (aged 23 on 13 July 1635). Carpenter who came to Massachusetts Bay in 1635 on the "James." (On 13 July 1635, "Edmond Johnson," aged 23, was enrolled at London as a passenger for New England on the James). First settled in Newbury MA; moved to Hampton NH in 1639. Died in Hampton NH, 10 March 165[0/]1.

Edmund and Mary were probably buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Hampton's first cemetery. But it has fallen into disrepair, and many of its headstones have disappeared. Their children were: Peter Johnson, 1639-1674 (wife: Ruth Moulton 1641-1718); John Johnson, 1641-by 1692. (m. Elinor Brackett, b. 1642); James, 1643- 1715; (m. Sarah Daniels, 1638-1718); Dorcas, b.1645, (m. Samuel Pearson, 1648-1721); Mary 1641-1680, (m. John Woodin, 1635-1678).
