Ila Thomas of Grand Ledge, Michigan, was born April 18, 1920 in Hastings and passed away March 18, 2009 in Lansing at the age of 88.
Ila was a retired LPN for Sparrow Hospital and enjoyed spending time with family and time with her husband, George Marvin Thomas, at their place in Harrison.
The former Ila Waldron was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, George "Marvin" Thomas; son, David Thomas; her parents, Homer Waldron and Pearley (Sackett) Waldron; sisters, Genevia Russell and Beulah Spicer and brother, Orville Waldron.
Survivors included her children, Robert (Mary) Thomas of Hebron, Ill., Marilyn (Frank) Feldpausch of Eagle, Kay (Ben) Goddard of Big Rapids, Jim (Ruth) Thomas of DeWitt, Alice (Neil) Dygert of Charlotte, Jerry (Therese) Thomas of Laingsburg, Clare (Lynn) Thomas and Rose Thomas all of Eaton Rapids, and Betty Thomas of Grand Ledge; 22 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren; sister, Etta Allen of Belding; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were held at the Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with Pastor Judy Scholten of the Eagle United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment at Meadowbrook Cemetery, Mulliken.
