Sudie Lee Kesler Blalock, 90 of Banks County, passed away April 30, 2009 at BJC Nursing Home.

Born Sept. 3, 1918 in Banks County to the late George Mason Kesler and Sudie LeCree Cochran Kesler, she was a preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Blalock. Mrs. Blalock was a member at Damascus Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for a number of years. She retired from Chicopee Manufacturing Company with 12 years of service.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Doug Garrison, Winder, and Emi and Melvin Evans, Baldwin; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Janalu Blalock, Carnesville, Jerry and Susan Blalock and Ronnie and Carolyn Blalock, all of Banks County; sister, Ruth Cash, Maysville; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Sunday, May 3, at 4 p.m. at Damascus Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Rogers and the Rev. Harold Ledford officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with the Rev. Gene Todd officiating. Memorials may be made to Damascus Baptist Church Building Fund, 1526 Damascus Church Road, Homer, GA 30547.
