Gloria Adsitt, 81, died February 4, 2009, in Aberdeen, WA, after a long battle with heart disease. She was born in Wenatchee and attended Wenatchee High School. She was inducted into the Navy in 1944, and served as a Wave in Corpus Christi, TX. She and her husband, George, enjoyed boating, traveling, fishing, camping and visiting friends and family. They had made Mesa, AZ their home at retirement, prior to their move to Aberdeen.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, George Adsitt of Aberdeen, WA; and two children, Allen Adsitt (Dawn) of Westport, WA and Alexia Bellerson (David) of Chandler, AZ; one step-son, Sandy Dean Adsitt (Liatra) of Las Vegas; one grandchild, Christofer Westerlund (Sona) of Billings, MT; four step-grandchildren, Alethea, Aaron, Shawn and Zachery Adsitt, all of Las Vegas; two great-grandchildren, Cole and Cade Westerlund of Billings MT; and two sisters, Bonnie Nottage of Spokane and Colleen Peart of East Wenatchee. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, May and Adam Hurd; her sister, Lauretta Baldwin; two brothers, Alfred and Melbert Hurd; her mother and father-in-law, Leah and Sandy Adsitt; and sister-in-law, Echo Clayson.
A Memorial Service is planned for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at the Evergreen Memorial Park Mausoleum in East Wenatchee.
