LUCIAN⁶ ROWE (Ebenezer⁵, Dan⁴, John³, Peter², Hugh¹) was born Aug. 7, 1802 in Paris, Oneida County, NY, the second of seven children born to Ebenezer Rowe and Mary "Molly" Clark.

On Mar. 15 , 1826 in Manlius, NY Lucian married LUCY STILLWELL, daughter of Elias Stillwell and Lois Jerome. He died on Oct. 23, 1838 by drowning in Lake Erie at the age of 38. There is a memorial gravestone for him in Linn-Hebron Cemetery, Illinois.

The story my grandfather (Charles Henry Rowe) told me was Lucian was a worker on a fruit boat on Lake Erie and was lost overboard (1838) at age 36. He is buried in Lake Erie. Lucy Stillwell Rowe and Lucien Rowe had 8 children in the very brief life span of Lucian.

4. Lucy Jane Rowe b. Jan 13, 1833 Pompey, NY Onondaga County m.#1 husband , Mr. Everson in Onondaga County, NY He died Jan 8, 1857. They had one son: Herbert Everson who lived in Sioux Falls, SD . In June 1857 widower, Lucy moved to Genoa Junction, Walworth Co and lived in that vicinity with her brother, Franklin Rowe. Daniel Rowe, her uncle and an old pioneer, also lived in that neighborhood She then married in 1861 to #2 husband, Joseph Stoneall b. abt. 1817 Wilkeshire, England who emigrated here to America. d. 1897 member of the Linn Hebron Presbyterian Church He proved to be one of the best farmers in that part of the county. They had 3 sons and 1 daughter: Martha Louis married Maynard Cornne, lived in Lake Geneva; Seymour Joseph lived in Sious Falls, SD, Franklin Lewis died at 3 yrs 8 months; George Edward married Anna Rodeweg of Saybrook, new Bloomington, IL.

5.Franklin Rowe b. Dec. 20, 1836 Amboy, NY Onondaga County m. Mary Elizabeth Noyes. Franklin and Mary are buried at Union Cemetery, Livermore, IA (my 2nd great paternal grandfather)

6. Thaddeus H. Rowe b. Jan 14, 1838 Schoolcraft, MI d. Jan. 1910 b. Mountain Home Cemetery, Kalamazoo, MI

7. Caroline E. Rowe b. Feb. 6, 1839 Eagle Village, Onondaga County NY m. Aug. 21st 1864 in Lynn, Walworth County, WI to Stephen Harrison, son of Samuel and Catherine (Fellows) Harrison. He was a veteran of the Civil War, farmer LeRoy, Mower County, Minnesota. Children:

Maurice I Harrison
Florence L. Harrison m. J.P. Jensen (five children)
