According to Raymond Mozley, Samuel G. moved from Walton Co., to Campbell and Cobb Co. about 1839. Enlisted in the US Army for the War of 1812. A War of 1812 memorial marker was placed at his grave site on June 15, 1982. He also served in the 415th as a 1st Lt. from May 1, 1821 until Nov. 29, 1822. He died at home near Austell.

Note: Some Mozley researchers have his middle name as Gathright based on mother's maiden name.

Samuel and Elizabeth are my great great great grandparents through Louisiana MOZLEY Cox. I visited the gravesite June 20th, 2014. All is well.|
