Ethel Margaret "Nan" (Carter) McKelvey Fisher Thomas 1904-1983
Ethel Margaret Carter was born January 16, 1904 in Spokane, Washington, to Wellington W. Carter and Mary Josephine (Finley) Carter. She was affectionately known as "Nan".
The family moved from Spokane to Smith Mountain in Wallowa County, Oregon.
She married George Henry McKelvey and had one daughter, Lillian Georgian McKelvey, the wife of John Layton Hamilton.
They divorced and Ethel married Stanley Earl Fisher and they continue to live on Smith Mountain. After Stanley's death, Ethel remarried to a Thomas.
She died in Joseph, Oregon on January 15, 1983 and was buried in the Prairie Creek Cemetery.
