Ervin passed away from Hodgkins Disease in a New Orleans hospital. He was known for his fiddle playing within the family and was a talented carpenter.

J. E. BLACKSTOCK PASSES THIS A.M. IN NEW ORLEANS
Remains Will Arrive in Ruston Tomorrow for Burial

A telegram reaching relatives here this morning from New Orleans brought intellegence of the death of Mr. J. E. Blackstock, Ruston man, in a sanitarium in that city where he was under treatment for Hodgin disease.

The remains will arrive here early tomorrow for buril in Greenwood Cemetery,* this city. Mr. Blackstock was 36 years old. He leaves a widow and five children, two sons and three daughters.

Mr. J. E. Blackstock Is Laid To His Final Rest Last Saturday

Rev. W. J. Bolin spoke the words of the funeral for Mr. J. E. Blackstock last Saturday afternoon at Unionville at 3 o'clock in the presence of the sorrowing family and a large number of friends of the deceased.

Mr. Blackstock died in New Orleans where he had been taken for treatment, the body reaching Ruston Saturday on the noon train.

*Actually buried in Unionville Cemetery in Unionville, Louisiana, not Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston.
