In the words of Brother-in-Law Don Glunt:
"Let me give you a little info on my brother-in-law Adam Ray, Carson Valley Cemetery. He was born in Ohio and early in life his family moved to Kentucky where he was raised. He had removed his father from the home at about age 14 for a reason, but I won't speculate, and became a father figure to several younger brothers and sisters.
He joined the Marines and was shot by sniper fire in 1966, which left him 100 percent disabled in his right arm. Surgery and a metal rod assisted in his recovery. He was transfrered from Vietnam and shipped to Bethesda Naval Hosptial where he met my sister Janice, his future wife. They were married on Flag Day 1969 in our Presbyterian church on the DC line out of Maryland.
Adam had two children Beth and Adam Jr. (A.D.) He graduated from college with accounting and business degrees (BS) and I believe he recieved a masters in the same field. Short years before during his wound recovery my sister and I helped him to expand his reading and writing skills.
He worked at a firm that made the patriot missles for many years. Adam enjoyed being a father, playing tennis, pool and atari video games. He loved Elvis and also his red 61 convertible "Olds 88". He was a good husband and father and succumbed to cancer in 1999. He is buried in a plot at Carson Valley with numerous Glunt relatives. I beleive his wife, his children and I all have plots near him there."
Thank You, Don.
