Amanda A. Van Auken, 87, a former longtime resident of Lansdale died Friday morning in the medical care facility of Southampton Estates.
Born in Hilltown, she was the daughter of the late Phares and Matilda Smith Albright.
Mrs. Van Auken had lived in Lansdale from 1918 until 1979, when she moved to the Southampton Estates. she entered the medical care facility there Feb. 12.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lansdale.
Surviving are a sister Ella S. Moore of Hatfield, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband C. Homer Wise, in 1944 and her second husband John S. Van Auken in 1965.
