Ruth L. Cooper Boley, 71, of Urbana left her home at 1:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009, to be with our Lord.

She was born in Weldon, Il. to Eli and Pauline Stiebner Cooper. She married Howard (Sonny) Boley Jr. on February 5, 1955, in Veedersburg, Indiana. He survives.

Also surviving are the five children, Ricky (Cheryl) Boley of Urbana, Arthur "Johnny" (Vicky) Boley of Urbana, William "Freddie" (Jessica) Boley of Shelbyville, Ky., Linda (Jim) Kuhn of Rantoul and Susan (Bud) Boley of Tolono; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 12 brothers and five sisters, Alfred Cooper of Champaign, Wilbur Cooper of Monticello, Vernon "Ike" Cooper of Kentucky, Vern "Mike" Cooper of Mattoon, Clyde Cooper and Fred Cooper of Michigan, Ron Cooper of Arizona, Butch and Jackie Roberts of Monticello, Penny Stockwell of New York, Linda Burgess of Oregon, Carol Meeker of Monticello, Eric Cooper, and Albert Cooper, Richey Cooper, Sonja Cooper and Cheryl Cooper, all of Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Amanda Skillings and Wilma Mathews, and the aunt who raised her, Wilma Bennett.

She was a homemaker.
