Celebrated Fifty Years of Happy Married Life

CELEBRATE THEIR GOLDEN WEDDING

Mr. and Mrs. David Myers of 506 Tatnall street celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Monday evening, September 1, at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Eakin, 406 West Third Street. Many guests and friends of the old couple and "Dan" Eakin, the well known police officer were present and spent a delightful evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Myers are to be congratulated on their fine appearance, and altho Mr. Myers is 71 years of age and a Civil War veteran, and Mrs. Myers is 67 years old they are still to be found among the lively funmakers. During the evening music was furnished by Mrs. George W. Eakin and Mrs. Myrtle Chase of Baltimore, Md., at the piano: Miss Anna Eakin, violin, and a quartet composed of Miss Edna Clark, Mr. George W. Eakin, Mr. Earl Eakin and Leo Mumford. Thru the courtesy of Mr. and Mrs. Mathew Myers the children were treated all evening to automobile rides in their touring car.

Refreshments were served, after which there was more music, games and other amusements. The aged couple were the recipients of many fine and beautiful gifts and a purse of gold.

Their children are: Mr. and Mrs. David Myers, Jr.; Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Eakin, Mr. and Mrs. Fred McDonald of Philadelphia, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. William Myers of Rochester, N.Y.; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Myers.

Their grandchildren are: The Misses Anna and Lillian Eakin, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Davis, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Eakin, Mr Earl Eakin, Mr. and Mrs. William Myers, Jr., of Philadelphia, Pa.; Mr. Edward Myers, Miss Marie Myers, Masters David and Joseph Myers, Master William Myers, Jr., of Rochester, N. Y.; Miss Sarah McDonald of Philadelphia, Pa., Masters Fred, Russell, and Stephen McDonald of Philadelphia, Pa.; Miss Eleanor Myers, Masters Edmund, Fred and Earl Myers.
Their great grandchildren are: Master Willard E. Boulden. Master Daniel Davis, Master William Myers, Jr., of Philadelphia.; Miss Helen Myers of Philadelphia, Pa.
