Mrs. Earl Goff
CORTLAND-Mrs. Earl (Florence) Goff, 68, of 1239 Fowler St., died at 3:42 a.m. Sunday in Warren General Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 26, 1900, in Andover, daughter of Howard and Lovina Smock Ralya.
Mrs. Goff was employed as clerk cashier for A&P Co. in Cortland for 17 years, retiring in 1962. She was a member of Cortland Christian Church and the Bethany class of the church. She was a 40-year member of Cortland Grange, member of Trumbull County Pomona Grange where she had been lecturer for two years, the Ohio State and National Grange 7th degree.
Surviving are her husband, to whom she was married Oct. 27, 1919; two daughters, Mrs. John (Geraldine) Jones, Cortland, and Mrs. Everett (Eloise) Benjamin, New Lyme; five sisters, Mrs. James (Bertha) Bullif, Linesville, Pa., Mrs. Dean (Sadie) Crawford, Cortland, Mrs. Wesley (Edna) West, Willoughby, Mrs. Michael (Evelyn) Dunda, Toledo; Mrs. Warren (Jeanne) Clark, Nashville, Tenn.; two brothers, Francis Ralya, Victorville, Calif., and Glen Ralya, Cleveland; and six grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Love Funeral Home, Cortland, where friends may call anytime after 2 p.m. Tuesday. The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Grange services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Gustavus Cemetery.
