♱ OBITUARY ♱

Dorothy E. Shimo

Mrs. Dorothy E. Shimo, 47, of 626 Cotter St., Greenwood, died this morning in Mercy Hospital after an illness. She was the wife of Frank A. Shimo, an employee of the Riverside School District.

Born in Scranton, daughter of Mrs. Rose Rorick Butler, at home, and the late Michael J. Butler, she was graduated from Minooka High School and was formerly employed by the Bell Telephone Co. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Greenwood, and its Christian Mothers Society.

Other survivors are four sons, John, Patrick and Francis, at home, and James, Scranton; four daughters, Mrs. Thomas Evanitsky, Throop; Elizabeth, Joan Marie, and Mary Rose, at home; two granddaughters, five sisters, Mrs. Joseph Layou, Moosic; Mrs. Henry Adams, Hollidaysburg; Mrs. William Ciccotti, Reno, Nev.; Mrs. William Richards, Middlesex, N.J., and Mrs. Richard Gogas, Scranton; two brothers, Thomas Butler, Pompton Lakes, N.J., and Michael, Haddonfield, N.J., and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Mrs. Joan Schuster, died April 15, 1960.

The funeral will be Monday from the Mary Eagen Funeral Home, 2908 Birney Ave., with Mass in St. Mary's Church at a time to be announced. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Viewing, Saturday, 7 to 9 p.m.; Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church Building Fund.

♱ FUNERAL NOTICE ♱

Shimo, Mrs. Dorothy, 626 Cotter St., Greenwood, today from the Mary Eagan Funeral Home, 2908 Birney Ave., with Mass in St. Mary's Church, Greenwood, celebrated by the Rev. Edmund S. Penkalla assisted by the Rev. Paul Terracciano and Thomas Capellino, a seminarian. Mrs. Shimo's two sons, Patrick and Francis, were alter boys. Pallbears: Joseph Layou, Michael Adams, Richard Schuster, Thomas Rogers, Thomas Butler, Boyd Yetter, Francis Skoviera, and Paul Schuster. The Christian Mothers were honorary pallbearers. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery.
