Arganbright is Buried Sunday

Funeral services for Oran [sic] D. Arganbright was conducted from the First Baptist Church of Wheeler Sunday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock with Rev. M.B. Smith, pastor, in charge.

Mr. Arganbright passed away at his home in the south part of Wheeler last Thursday morning following a lengthy illness.

Oran [sic] D. Arganbright was born in Indiana on November 12, 1868 and passed away in Wheeler March 18, 1948 at the age of 79 years 4 months and 6 days.

Mr. Arganbright had been a member of the Baptist Church the past 15 years.

Survivors include: the widow, Mrs. O.D. Arganbright; four sons, Ira of Oildale, Calif., Asa of Clovis, N.M., Ora of Gotebo, Okla., and Narville of Wheeler; and two daughters, Mrs. Ida Rowe and Mrs. Iva Stafford both of Washington, D.C.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Laverne Hiatt of Cheyenne, Okla.; one step-son, Russel David of Clements, Kansas; one brother, Billy Arganbright of Cherokee, Okla.; seventeen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Pall bearers were: Buster Callan, Punk Martin, Boyce Farris, Levi Reid, Vernie Hardcastle and Gordon Whitener.

Flower bearers were: Mrs. Buster Callan, Mrs. Punk Martin, Mrs. Boyce Farris, Mrs. Vernie Hardcastle, Mrs. Gordon Whitener and Mrs. Frank Wofford.

Interment was in the Wheeler cemetery with Kirk-Mason Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
