Maron Calor Prestridge Sr.
(RANBURNE) Services for Mr. Maron Calor Prestridge Sr., 75, of Ranburne, will be at Benefield Funeral Chapel, Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Ken Baldwin and Terry Paul and Pastor Tony Combest officiating. Burial will follow in Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Mr. Prestridge died Oct. 26 at Clay County Hospital.
Mr. Prestridge is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Johnson Prestridge of Ranburne; four daughters, Sandra Jane Lashley of Augusta, Ga., Laura Ann Prestridge of Warm Springs, Ga., Jeannie Overton of Mobile and Alice Revells of Citronelle; three sons, Hubert L. Prestridge of LaGrange, Ga., Maron C. Prestridge Jr. of Ranburne and Robert A. Prestridge of Stovall, Ga.; one brother, Aarron Prestridge of Stovall; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Prestridge was born July 4, 1933, the son of J. C. and Janie Rollins Prestridge. He was a member of Stovall Baptist Church and a greeter for Wal-Mart. Mr. Prestridge was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Billy Worrell***.
Pallbearers will be Lee Scott, Ray Hurpe, Danny Baker, James Prestridge, Scotty Prestridge and Jerry Baker.
Benefield Funeral Home, Wedowee.
***Billy was his step-son.
