Services were held Friday for Joe R. Hubler, 64, Rt. 7, Logansport, who died Tuesday, February 8 at 10:55 a.m. at St; Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born April 11, 1918 in Young America, he was the son of George G. and Grace Ulrich Hubler. On Feb. 26, 1941, he was married to Betty Louise Jones, who preceded him in death in September, 1941. In 1946, at Ft. Wayne, he was married to Lucinda M. Biers, who survives.

A farmer, he was a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Cass County Sheriff’s Merit Board, the Walton American Legion, the 40 & 8, and the Cass County Coon Hunters Club.

Surviving with the wife are a daughter, Cheryl Grider, Rt. 4 Logansport; a sister. Ruth Klumpp, Deer Creek; four brothers, Elton Hubler, Flora; J. William Hubler, Titusville, Fla.; George Edward Hubler, Aberdeen. Wash.; and David E. Hubler, Marietta. Ga.; and five grandchildren.

A daughter and a grandson preceded him in death.

McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements with Rev. Pat J. Tobin officiating. Burial was held at Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
