MRS.MARY W. MCCARTY DIES SUDDENLY

Mrs. Mary W. McCarty, the beloved wife of Homer McCarty, the well known mining operator and popular in financial circles in Southern tah, died at one of the hospitals in Salt Lake City, early last Monday morning following an attack of Spanish influenza, which rapidly developed into pneumonia. Announcement of the death was received in this city Monday morning by Mrs. Laura Sargent, a sister to Homer McCarty. The message stated also that the husband, Mr. McCarty, had been very low with the malady, but had slightly improved. Several of the children at home are also sick with the disease.

Mrs. McCarty was born at Monroe February 23, 1872; and she had resided in the state practically all her life. She was well known and loved by all and was prominent in church and social work.

Only a few weeks ago the family removed from Richfield to Salt Lake and had just become happily domiciled in the new home and death coming as it did, has caused deep grief, not only with the family and relatives, but to the hosts of warm friends.

The body was brought to Richfield last night and today it will be taken to Monroe for interment.
