Funeral services for Mrs. R. V. Haywood, 84, of Ray, mother of Mrs. Henry Polk, of Casa Grande, were conducted Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from the Methodist church in Casa Grande, with Rev. Earl Cook, of Phoenix, officiating
Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Merchant Mortuary of Superior, assisted by Mrs. Mary Plenz, of Casa Grande.
Mrs. Haywood died at her home in Ray Sunday night. She had been a resident of Ray for 21 years and was a frequent visitor at the home of her daughter in Casa Grande. She has been a member of the Methodist Church since childhood.
Besides Mrs. Polk, she left seven other children, Berry Haywood, of Fairland, Texas; John Haywood, of Ray; Monta Haywood, of Pear Valley, Texas; Mrs. H. A. Martin, of Austin, Texas; Mrs. J. A. Walling and Mrs. J. M. Smith, both of Rockport, Texas; and Mrs. Joe Love, of Chandler.
