Elbert Marvin Branch, departed this life April 16, 2009.

Preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Leroy and Edna Eley Branch.

He is survived by two sisters, Ethel B. Stone and Marilyn B. Brown (Winfred); one aunt, Rose Gibson (Frank); three nieces, Leta Stone Brooks, Kara Lancaster-Gay (Rick) and Lesli Brown; one nephew, Warren Stone (Alissa); three great-nieces and one great-nephew; a host of cousins, among them devoted, A. Greg Branch and Alphonso Branch; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Remains rested at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Streets, where funeral services were held Thursday, April 23, 2009, 12:30pm. Dr. Herbert R. Plummer officiated. Interment in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia County, VA.
