Mary's Obituary ran in the Watertown Daily Times on Tuesday June 8, 1926.
"Mrs. Spencer Expires at home.
Mrs. Mary Alice Davison-Spencer, 80, 415 East Streed, died at her home Monday evening at 6:30 following an illness of about two weeks. During that time Mrs. Spencer had been confined to her bed. She had been in failing health the past two years but she had been able to be about the house.
For the past nine years, Mrs. Spencer had lived on the north side where she is well known among many of the older people. She had been an ardent worker in the Church of the Redeemer and various church organizations. Mrs. Spencer was also a member of various patriotic organizations in this city and she took a prominent part in their work until she was forced to retire because of ill health.
She was born in Perch River, July 19, 1845, the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Elwood Woolaver. Her early life was spent in Perch River, where she obtained her education. She was married to William B. Davison of Williamston on Oct. 16, 1867. The ceremony was solemnized at Brownville. The couple resided in that village for many years. Later they separated and Mrs. Spencer moved to Bridgeport, Conn., where she lived for about 15 years. She was engaged as a practical nurse while residing in that city.
It was about 20 years ago that she returned to this city and since that time she had made her home here. It was nine years ago, when she was 71 years of age, that she married Henry Spencer of this city. Since that time the couple had resided on East Street.
There were two children born by the first marriage. They are William and Linton Davison, twins, who reside in the west. They lived in Bridgeport, Conn. When Mrs. Spencer resided in that city.
She was a member of the Church of the Redeemer since she had lived on the North Side. She was also a member of the Julia Dent Grant Circle, Woman's Relief Corps of the G. A. R. and the Sons' of Veterans Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Spencer of this city, two sons, William and Linton Davidson who reside in the west and two sisters, Mrs. Ida McFall of this city and Mrs. Lottie A. Potter of Utica.
The funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 from the home and at 2:30 from the Church of the Redeemer. Rev. W. R. Courage, D. D, rector of the church of the Redeemer, and the Rev. E. O. Sparen, pastor of the Bethany Methodist Episcopal church will officiate. Interment will be made in North Watertown Cemetery.

They moved to Brownville, Jefferson, New York where they appeared on the 1870 census. By then they had two twin boys age 2, William James and Edward (Henry) Linton.
From there the family separated, and in her obituary it states that the twin sons went to Bridgeport, Connecticut with their mother, although I haven't been able to locate anyone on the 1880 census. By the late 1880's they are listed in Peoria living with their father. There must have been a divorce, because both Alice and Willie remarry, although Alice did not remarry until after WB died.
I am still trying to research Alice's life, I know she married Henry Spencer in 1920 and they show up on the 1920 census in Watertown, Jefferson New York. Mary Alice died in 1929, and is buried in Watertown, New York.
