Musician. Born in Columbia, Missouri, he was a popular instrumental organ player. In the 1940s, his career took off while playing at the Rivoli Café in Aurora, Illinois which was broadcasted on radio station WMRO. He recorded albums for Columbia Records to include "Lost in a Cloud", "Ken Griffin Styled Organ", "67 Melody Lane" and the hit single "You Can't Be True, Dear" (1948) which sold over 3.5 million copies. He died of a heart attack at age 46 in Chicago, Illinois. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
