Houston - Services for Ronald Glenn "Ronny" Bridges, 53, of Houston, were held Saturday, Sept. 21 in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home with burial in Fielders Cemetery.

Bridges was born on Nov. 13, 1948 in Lufkin to Glenn C. and Louise Martin Bridges and died on Sept. 16 at his home in North Shore.

He graduated from Lufkin High School in 1967 and attended Stephen F. Austin State University for two years. He worked for Lufkin Industries and B&B Tackle from 1968-1972. Later, he was in the construction business in Lufkin from 1972-1974 before moving to Houston where he worked at Brown and Root from 1974-1985. In 1985, he accepted a position in the Surface Water Purification Department at the City of Houston where he worked as a plant process coordinator until his death. He was an avid outdoorsman.

He was preceded in death by his father Glenn G. Bridges.
