LAWLER, IRENE MORGAN, a registered nurse, died Thursday at Presbyterian Village North. She was born to Augustus and Margaret Morgan on March 8, 1897 in Bedford, Kentucky, grew up in Childress, Texas, and graduated as a registered nurse at Harris Hospital of Nursing, Fort Worth (now T.C.U.) in 1920. She was a lifelong member of Harris Hospital Nurses Association. She was a dedicated mother to five sons and she had the special gift for caring for the sick, young and old. She was a longtime member of Rosemont Christian Church and a loyal member of the Harmony Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Martin Lawler, Sr., four sisters, and a grandson, David. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Lt. Col. Thomas Martin Lawler, Jr., Ret. of Austin, Don Morgan and Beverly Lawler of Dallas, James Morris and Lennie Lawler of Dallas, Lewis Augustus and Mary Lawler of Grand Saline, and Robert Lee Lawler of Clarendon Hills, Illinois; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren. Interment will be 10 am Saturday, January 14, 1995, LAURAL LAND, followed by a memorial service at 11 am in ROSEMONT CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 1304 So. Hampton Rd., Dallas. Pallbears: Andrew Lawler, Dwight D. Lawler, Keith M. Lawler, Scott Lawler, Dr. Sam Marynick, and Robert M. Reese. Officiating is Reverend Paul Whitloch, Rosemont Christian Church.
