A Mass for Mrs. Gloria Tlumack, a lifelong resident of Jersey City, will be offered at 10:15 a.m. Saturday in St. Aloysius Church, Jersey City.
Arrangements are by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, 625 Pavonia Ave., Jersey City.
Mrs. Tlumack, who died Dec. 23 at home, was co-owner of the Piggy Back Freight Agency in Jersey City for many years before retiring in 1983.
She was vice president of the Fairmount Senior Citizens Tennis Association in Jersey City.
Mrs. Tlumack is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Gloria Claudat; a son, Frank; a brother, Victor Oliveti, and six grandchildren.
------------
Tommy Tlumack was her second marriage; her first husband's last name was Osusky or something similar. Both of her children are from that marriage. Her maiden name was Oliveti.
*A note re: spelling of the name - The family name of Gloria's second husband was Tlumak; however, Tommy apparently decided that adding the 'c' (Tlumack) made it "easier to pronounce," which explains why Gloria's obit spells it that way and why Tommy's son (my uncle), granddaughter (my cousin) and ex-wife (my grandmother) continue to spell it that way. The rest of the family still uses "Tlumak."
