dies at Rock Falls.
George L {Roy} Bowen, 69 died suddenly Sunday morning at his home in Rock Falls. He had farmed in the Mason City and Hartford area until 1926 and since 1928 had lived at Rock Falls.

For the last 18 years he had been employed by the American Crystal Sugar Company during the campaigns.

Mr. Bowen was born August 23, 1892, in Mason City, son of Thomas and Ellen {Bretner} Bowen.

He attended the Mason City-Schools. He was married to Miss Ethel Femier March 14, 1914, at the Methodist parsonage in Mason City.

Suviving are his wife, a son, Floyd Bowen, Rock Falls, a daughter, Mrs.Charles {Edith} Golding, Northwood; a grandson, Richard, Richard Golding, U.S. Army; two granddaughters, Mrs. Duane {Rosina} Coe, Nora Springs, and Miss Penny Bowen, Rock Falls, and a great granddaughter, Loretta Jane Coe, Nora Springs. A brother Vernon Bowen, Mason City, also survives. He was preceded in death by three brothers and his parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hogan-Mckee Colonial Chapel. The Reverend CHarles Birchnair, pastor of the Rock Falls Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Rock Falls Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the chapel until the time of services.
