Services for Gladys Morris, 88, of Wolfforth are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Welch Baptist Church with the Bro. Kalith Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 3 until 4:30 p.m. today at Bra-non Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lamesa Memorial Park.
Mrs. Morris died Friday, Nov. 17, 2006 at her home.
She was born Feb. 22, 1918 in Floyd County. She married Howard Douglas Morris July 15, 1937 in Lockney. Mrs. Morris had originally lived in Welch but had lived in Wolfforth for the past eight years. She was a homemaker and was a member of Welch Baptist Church for 56 years. She had attended South-Crest Baptist Church in Lubbock since 2000.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Douglas Morris on Nov. 4, 1988, four brothers, three sisters, and three grandchildren.
Survivors include: seven sons, Melvin of Texarkana, Howard of Krum, Arlen of Lamesa, Roy of Perry, Okla., James of Henrietta, Terry of Lamesa, and Keith of Woodrow; five daughters, Donna Sorrell of Perry, Okla., Joyce Straley of Adamsville, Mary Ann Wilson of Gardendale, Marcia Straley of Wolfforth, and Linda Mayfield of Irving; one sister, Aileen Dunn of Lubbock; 36 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
The family suggests memorials be made to Welch Baptist Church
