Professional Hockey Player. He played at the defense position for seven seasons (1962 to 1969) in the National Hockey League with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Oakland Seals and Detroit Red Wings. He was a member of three Stanley Cup championship teams (1963, 1964 and 1967 Maple Leafs). His other notable career highlights include winner of the 1961-1962 Eddie Shore Award as the AHL's Best Defenseman and winner of the 1962-1963 Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL's Top Rookie. In 428 career regular season games, Douglas scored 33 goals with 115 assists.
