Brief Illness Fatal to First Ward Resident
James A. Boslet, 77, of 1122 19th Ave., president of the First Ward Civic Association and a veteran of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company service, died unexpetedly at 8:30 pm Saurday in teh Altoona Hospital where he had been admitted a short time before.
He was born in Brisbin May 12, 1883, a son of Milton and Anna Mary (Sherry) Boslet, and married Mary Lynch.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, James F.X. and John M. of Baltimore; three brothers and one sister, George L. of Huntingdon, Maurice and Earl of Altoona, and Miss Catherine of Baltimore.
Mr. Boslet retired in January, 1950, as a machinist for the Pennylvania Railroad and for the snsuing four years served as janitor at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, of which he was a member. He also belonged to the Cathedral Holy Name, Altar and Rosary Societies, Golden Age Club and the Third Order Secular of Loretto.
Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home after 7 pm today.
