Carol was born on June 12, 1951, in Sidney Neb. She was born to Leland and Viola Bodeman. She was married to Danny Kier. Her son, Richard Allen Kier, was born from this marriage. Later, she married Richard Barngrover on September 17, 1981 in Lawton, Okla. Carol attended nursing school in Cheyenne, Wyoming and Lawton, Okla., where she received her LPN license. She worked at the Children's Mercy Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas for 12 years. When the family moved to Missouri, Carol worked as a nurse at Truman hospital. Carol enjoyed cooking, cross-stitching, playing with her grandchildren and holidays.
Her survivors include Richard Barngrover of Independence; her sons, Randy Klinesmith of Missouri and Richard Barngrover Jr. of Indiana; Pamela, Amanda and Ashley Barngrover, all of Missouri; sisters, Carolyn of Nevada and Rosemarie Webb of Nebraska; brothers, Dale Lindsey of Nevada and Gerold Lindsey of Nebraska; and her 10 grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Kier; son, Richard Kier; and both parents, Leland and Viola Bodeman.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 9 at Fort Osage Church of The Nazarene with Rev. Shaun Sutton officiating. The burial will be at 11:30 a.m. at New Salem Funeral Home and Cemetery.
