Our precious mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Vera Elizabeth Cowley, age 94, died July 28, 1994 in a Murray Hospital of causes incident to age. Born December 6, 1899 in in Granite, Utah to Edward Charles and Eliza Jane Butler Tucker. Married Frank Lesley Cowley on June 27, 1922 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was a member of the LDS Church and served in numerous ward and stake positions. Served as ward and stake representative for the Relief Society Magazine. She served as ward Relief Society and Primary president and also served as organist in several ward organizations.

Survived by son, Garth Cowley and wife, Leona; daughter, Lael Lundeen and husband, Russell; eight grandchildren, Rick Cowley, Jani Laga, Robyn Selin, Lori Lundeen, Carla Swanson, Guy Lundeen, Lynae Farnsworth, and Mike Lundeen; 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dell Tucker, California; Ralph Tucker, Salt Lake. Preceded in death by two sons, Lynn and Kent; two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, August 1, 1994, at the Butler 11th Ward, 1845 East 7200 South. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, and Saturday at the church, from 12 to to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
