Andrew Jackson Frazier was born in Tennessee, the son of Martin Gaines and Martha Mayfield Frazier and was born the twin of John Newton Frazier. The family left their home state soon after Andrew was born and arrived in Texas by the late 1830's.
Andrew Jackson Frazier served the CSA during the Civil War enlisting in Navarro County in 1862, and serving in CO G 20th REGT TEX CAV (Texas State Archives Pension #47667).
On July 4, 1867, he married Minerva Jane (Nervy) Woods in DeWitt County, Texas, and their children were all born here except the last who was born in 1884. This family left their home near Yorktown and came to Burnet County, Texas, in 1883. They settled on land near Burnet and members of the family lived here until 1929 when it was sold.
When Andrew died in 1885, he left Nervy with eight children, the oldest only twelve and the youngest, an infant. Their children were; Henry Alexander (Alex), Walter Gonzalvo, Naomi Elizabeth, Edward (Ed), Leonard, Susan Mary, Emily Frances (1880-1881), Nellie Rowena and Andrew Jackson, Jr.
